I’m learning the place value of decimals. The above shape is in hundredths. I know how to do this by counting the coloured squares. What I need to learn next is use addition and subtraction of decimals.

Chase it is good that you know what to call the diagram above in place value. If they were separated instead of coloured in would it change your strategy.
Hi Chase, addition and subtraction for decimals is a little easy, it is just like adding whole numbers, just a little different. I liked the part where you brought up what you learnt. What would you like to learn after adding and subtracting decimals?
Hello Chase It is good that you have learned and know what to call the diagram above in place value. After you have finished learning addition and subtraction of decimals what do you want to learn next?
Hey Chase nice work. In this diagram what is the strategy and how do you do it? To me I find this easy. What is you next learning thing after addition and subtraction of decimals.

Nice work Chase. I like it how you described writing using the picture above. Do you use a strategy to solve your problem?
